If you’re like a lot of us out there, you’ve got quite the Christmas list to tackle with no clue where to start. Some friends and family are no brainers, while others aren’t so easy. I find that many of my girlfriends have been coming to me in a small panic, needing an idea for their boyfriend, brother or dad. It’s true, men are sometimes a little harder to shop for, but that’s where this guide comes in handy!
Most guys are simple, so when thinking of where to begin with their gift, approach it the same way. Be practical, yet thoughtful.
For the Clean Cut:
A universal need of every guy is a good shave. This year I’m asking for a new razor and shave kit. For the stocking, check out Harry’s, which is carried at Target. For under the tree, try a kit from The Art of Shaving. It’s an affordable but practical gift he can use for months to come.
For the Adventurer:
If he’s a world traveler, he’s more than likely spending his down time searching for his next great adventure. I’m a huge fan of the Wildsam book series for travel guides. Each book gives great insight and details into cities all over the US. Whether it’s the best steakhouse to check out in Brooklyn, or the local history of San Antonio, these travel guides will get his wheels turning.
For the Bartender in Training:
Every man knows his bar order by heart, whether he’s into craft beer or a craft cocktail, you can’t go wrong with paying homage to his signature drink. For beer lovers, give a beer of the month club membership. He’ll receive a 12-pack each month with unique flavors he won’t get at his local watering hole. For the master mixologist, try a homemade gin kit! If you’re really stuck, it never hurts to splurge on his favorite whiskey or bottle of wine. It’s a gift you know he’ll use.
For the Collector:
Like women with nice jewelry, some men collect watches and need a place to hold them. I received a beautiful watch box from friends a couple years ago and continue to receive compliments on it to this day! Mark & Graham has you covered with a monogrammed watch box, that is just as handsome as the timepieces it holds.
If you break it down to what your loved one needs and uses everyday, the solution to his Christmas gift is easier than you originally might think. I hope these recommendations make gift giving easier for everyone!
