Since my last beauty post featured picks almost exclusively from department stores/Sephora, I decided I wanted to do a post with more budget friendly items that I use on a daily basis. They’re pretty basic, but can be major game-changers when it comes to your everyday routine.
My number one item on this list is probably mascara. Personally, I’m always excited when I get offered a free sample of a new high end mascara, but I usually find that it works just as well as my go-to Great Lash (which I typically buy in the ‘very brown’ shade, but FYI Amazon sells every shade out there). I also love a good clear mascara, and use this Covergirl one to tame my brows and also on long days where I know I won’t have time to fix any make-up mishaps.
This body oil is great to apply before a self tanner so your skin is moisturized, and the scent is light and summery.
Also, if you haven’t checked out the latest iteration of Covergirl’s baby lips (aka ‘color balm crayon’), you’re totally missing out. It’s way more colorful and hydrating- my favorite shade as of now is “toasted taupe” which looks a lot better than it sounds.
I also featured this La Roche sunscreen which is now carried by CVS, because SPF is so important this time of year and this one isn’t too heavy (though personally I am really looking forward to Glossier launching their sunscreen next week!).
